Aims and Scope

Korean Journal of Family Practice (KJFP) is an open access, peer-reviewed, online-only general medical journal published in Korean or English bimonthly, which is an official journal of the Korean Academy of Family Medicine. KJFP's main aim is to provide up-to-date evidence-based medical knowledge and high-quality continuing medical education for family physicians and other primary care clinicians. KJFP mainly publishes original articles, narrative reviews, systematic reviews with or without meta-analysis, case reports, letters, editorials, and brief communications covering a broad range of interests related with the field of family medicine such as clinical management of common primary diseases (e.g., dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, etc.), health promotion (e.g., smoking cessation, quitting drinking, exercise, lifestyle modification, etc.), cancer prevention and early detection, travel medicine, geriatrics, nutrition and diet, epidemiology, education (medical students, residents in family medicine, patients, etc.), medical ethics, health care system, etc., all of which ultimately will assist family physicians in primary care.
