Department of Family Medicine: 6 months or more of exclusive training

Required majors: Internal medicine 6 months or more, pediatrics 2–4 months, surgery 2–3 months, obstetrics 2–3 months must be dispatched.

Required elective courses: 8 to 12 months dispatch period. Orthopedics, psychiatry, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, dermatology, urology, community medical institutions, emergency medicine, and diagnostic radiology are included.

Free elective courses: 4 to 6 months dispatch period. During the training course, residents can select and train in areas which is not competent.

2nd year

Note In order to improve the quality of the training of family medicine residents, they can be dispatched to medical institutions recognized by the KAFM on a yearly basis.
