Fig. 2. An example of true positive results of artificial intelligence-based computer-aided detection (AI-CAD) in a 55-year-old female undergoing mammography due to a palpable lump in the right breast. (A) Craniocaudal and mediolateral oblique mammographic images of both breasts show heterogeneously dense breast tissue. A small mass with subtle architectural distortions are suspected in the upper inner quadrant of the left breast. (B) Lunit INSIGHT MMG (version 1.1.7.1; Lunit Inc.) and (C) Transpara (version 1.6.0; Screenpoint Medical) AI-CAD analyses indicated suspicion marks in the upper inner quadrant of the left breast. Lunit INSIGHT MMG assigned a malignancy suspicion score of 94 for the left breast, and Transpara provided the highest breast cancer risk score of 10 for this examination. (D) Ultrasound examination revealed a 9-mm hypoechoic mass at the location identified by AI-CAD, subsequently confirmed as breast cancer through tissue biopsy and subsequent breast-conserving surgery.
